Peace, Security & Economic Resilience Commission (PSERC)

Economic destabilization from conflicts, reconstruction finance, illicit war economies and humanitarian funding.

Advanced Committee

The Peace, Security & Economic Resilience Commission (PSERC) focuses on mitigating the economic devastation caused by conflicts in Sudan, Eastern Africa, and the MENA border regions. Wars leave behind hyperinflation, famine, and illicit war economies that entrench instability. Delegates will debate how to balance debt relief with accountability, design reconstruction finance mechanisms, and ensure humanitarian funding reaches communities without political distortion. Discussions will also address safeguarding food and energy supply chains and curbing illicit financial flows. The commission aims to deliver a reconstruction finance toolkit, conflict-sensitive investment frameworks, and practical guidelines for surge-based humanitarian funding and recovery.
