Global Health Security & Development Forum (GHSD Forum)

Building resilient health systems in fragile economies, scaling equitable vaccine, diagnostic & treatment access and creating blended-finance models for health infrastructure in high-risk markets.

Advanced Committee

The Global Health & Development Working Group (GHDWG) addresses the urgent challenge of building resilient healthcare systems in Sub-Saharan Africa and other fragile states. Weak infrastructure, donor dependency, and underinvestment leave these regions highly vulnerable to pandemics, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and chronic health crises. Delegates will explore financing models for pandemic preparedness, pooled procurement of vaccines and medicines, and strategies to retain healthcare workers in high-risk markets. The forum seeks to design a health resilience financing framework, a regional AMR policy package, and a scalable blended-finance pipeline for hospitals and clinics, ensuring equitable and sustainable healthcare access.
